E’ pura forza della natura quella che Massimo Festi associa alla tematica del viaggio. L’immagine non può essere concepita se non attraverso una ipotesi di invasione del tragico nella realtà; benché la forma sia indefinita, e il volto si arrivi a leggere solo successivamente tra le pieghe dell’opera, non c’è dubbio che si tratti di un’esplosione di energia in espansione; un volto che ha del mostruoso, una sorta di maschera  in cui si inserisce ad incastro il muso snello e dinamico  di una macchina di Formula Uno che ricorre identica in questo ciclo di opere. Un volto che poggia direttamente sull’asfalto, che si percepisce umano solo per l’irregolarità della ispida barba con un azzurro intenso a fare da sfondo, che intensifica il dinamismo ma anche il senso di smarrimento per l’incontro con una visione dell’inconscio allarmante.

It is pure strength of nature that Massimo Festi associates with the theme journey. The image can not be conceived if not through a hypothesis of invasion of the tragic into reality; even if the form is undefined, and one arrives at reading the face only later between the folds of the work, there is no doubt that we have to do with an explosion of energy in expansion; a face that has something monstrous, a kind of mask in which the streamlined and dynamic muzzle of a Formula Uno race car that recurs identical in this cycle of works has embedded itself. A face that rests directly on the asphalt, that is perceived as human only because of the irregularity of the shaggy beard with an intense blue that functions as a background, which intensifies the dynamism but also the sense of being lost for the encounter with an alarming vision of the unconscious.
