Fausto Segoni

Per questo progetto europeo Fausto Segoni accantona quello che è stato in questi anni il liet motiv della sua pittura: il gonfiatore di palloncini. Numerose sono le tele da lui dipinte avendo per protagonista questo umanoide al quale ha fatto recitare i ruoli più disparati ma soprattutto attraverso il quale ha potuto raccontare se stesso e le sue fantasie. Ora e per la prima volta per questo progetto in forma ufficiale, Segoni stravolge completamente il contenuto e la tavolozza. Dopo quadri di una luce e luminosità intensi in cui un essere a metà tra l’umano ed il meccanico agiva consapevole di essere guardato e osservato, l’artista approda ad un linguaggio più sommesso e silenzioso. Tutto quello che era palese nella resa realistica dei quadri precedenti diventa ora più difficile scoprire. Si tratta di spazi celesti, della volta stellata del nostro universo, ma, prestando accurata attenzione, ecco che tra le varie costellazioni che siamo abituati a cercare tutte le notti alzando lo sguardo, comparire un particolare insolito, non inquietante o presagio di qualche evento catastrofico, ma buffo quanto imprevisto e tremendamente curioso: una costellazione a forma di auto che viaggia indisturbata tra pianeti e galassie. Quello nello spazio seduti al volante di una cabriolet di lusso è senz’altro il viaggio più avveneristico che possiamo immaginare. La metafora del messaggio non può che farci pensare al progetto stesso della plot@rt ossia un viaggio delle opere dall’artista al web, alla stampa, e la fruibilità di 10 mostre in Europa rimanendo comodamente a casa.

FAUSTO SEGONI

For this European project Fausto Segoni puts aside that which in these last years has been the leit-motif of his painting: the inflator of balloons. Many are the canvases that he painted that have as the protagonist this humanoid which he has made recite the most disparate roles but most of all through which he has been able to tell himself and his fantasies. Now and for this project for the first time in an official form, Segoni changes contents and palette. After paintings of an intense light and luminosity in which a being halfway between human and mechanic acted knowing that it was watched and observed, the artist approaches a more subdued and silent language. Everything that was obvious in the realistic rendering of the previous paintings is now more difficult to discover. It is about heavenly spaces, about the star spangled vault of our universe, but, paying accurate attention, we see in the middle of the various constellations that we are used search every night lifting up our eyes, appear an abnormal detail, not disturbing, or presentiment of some catastrophic event, but funny in as much as unforeseen and terribly strange: a constellation in the form of a car that travels undisturbed between planets and galaxies. The one in space, seated at the wheel of a De Luxe cabriolet, is without doubt the most futuristic journey that we can imagine. The metaphor of the message can’t but make us think of the project plot.@rt itself or a journey of the works from the artist to the web, to the printer, and the possibility to enjoy 10 European exhibitions remaining comfortably in one’s own city.
